Snapdragon is a brand of energy processors using the ARM technology Qualcomm designs and sells. MediaTek is a company that designs and sells processors using ARM technology. There are a number of products on offer. Among them are Helio P25 and Snapdragon 626. Do you want to know the difference between them? What are their basic characteristics? Which is better?
Firstly Parameters Comparison
Want to understand the distinction between these 2 chips, perhaps the parameter specification is the most intuitive way.

Through parameter comparison, Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 equipped with its own Adreno 506 graphics processor, while MediaTek Helio P25 is Mali-T880 MP2, and then destined to the difference between the 2 graphics capabilities.
In addition, MediaTek Helio P25 supports LPDDR4X, compared to the flower 626 LPDDR3 more power saving, up to 6GB ram memory support. snapdragon 626 advantage lies in the LTE network, up to support Cat.13, data transfer faster. As for the difference between each performance, we can see the subsequent sub-run data.Next the following sub-run data
Comparison models | Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 | MediaTek P25 |
---|---|---|
Comprehensive performance run points | 67,164 points | 69521 points |
Single-core performance run points | 4616 points | 5648 points |
Multi-core performance run points | 10301 points | 10385 points |
3D performance running points | 12976 points | 11291 points |
From the run sub-test point of view, MediaTek P25 in the overall performance, single-core, and multi-core performance slightly occupy a slight advantage, but not prominent, but conjointly in the 3D performance isn’t much difference, in theory, MediaTek P25 and snapdragon 626 a standard.
The following is the location of MediaTek P25 and snapdragon 626 in the phone C.P.U. ladder diagram, as shown below.

MediaTek HELIO P25 and snapdragon 626 in the ladder position
In the end, they would like to say that each processor has its plus points. So if you buy cheaper or more economical Chinese smartphones, MediaTek processors offer good value for money. If you buy a smartphone in a higher price range then Snapdragon processors are better choices because they offer better performance and more features. The reason is that MediaTek will often take the cores and directly put them into their SoC with little or no changes. Unlike MediaTek, Qualcomm combines and modifies core and cache designs much more.
