Ahead of CES 2023, Mediatek today announced the latest chipset in its Genio platform for iot devices – Genio 700, an octa-core chipset designed for smart home, smart retail and industrial iot products.
Genio 700 will be part of Mediatek’s CES 2023 booth demo, according to the release. Focused on energy efficiency, the chipset is an Internet of Things chipset for the N6 (6nm) process with two ARM A78 cores running at 2.2GHz and six ARM A55 cores running at 2.0GHz, while offering a 4.0 TOPs AI accelerator. Genio 700 also supports FHD 60p + 4K 60p display, as well as ISPs for getting better images.

With its focus on industrial and smart home products, Genio 700 is the perfect addition to our product lineup, ensuring that we can provide the broadest possible support to our customers.”
The Genio 700 SDK allows designers to customize products using Yocto Linux, Ubuntu, and Android, according to the release. With this support, customers can easily develop their products with minimal effort, regardless of the type of application.
