According to blogger Code Chat site, the Mediatek Dimensity 9300 will debut at the end of this year, starting with the vivo X100 and vivo X100 Pro.
Mediatek Dimensity 9300 consists of four Cortex X4 superlarge cores and four Cortex A720 superlarge cores instead of small cores, making it the first 5G Soc in Mediatek’s history to feature only a performance core.
Where Cortex X4 improves the existing architecture and optimizes the efficiency of various core components, its front end is redesigned and tweaked with instruction acquisition blocks, Arm aims to keep latency low while providing peak bandwidth in the Cortex X4 kernel and throughout the TSC23 kernel cluster.
Not only that, but the Cortex X4 uses a new Arm v9.2 architecture that adds a “new QARMA3 algorithm” to Arm’s pointer validation memory security feature, making it harder for unauthenticated programs to create valid memory Pointers to close memory corruption vulnerabilities and improve security.
In addition, the Cortex X4 has a 15% performance improvement over the Cortex X3. It also boasts a 40% power consumption reduction over the same frequency.
