Toward the end of the year, handset makers and chip makers begin releasing their flagship products for the coming year. On November 19, Mediatek officially launched Dimensity 9000 chip, which confirmed everyone’s conjecture about a new flagship chip of Mediatek. However, when the detailed configuration of Dimensity 9000 exposure or caused everyone’s hot discussion.
While most mobile phone chips are still using the 5nm process, Mediatek Dimensity 9000 takes the lead in using TSMC’s 4nm process, bringing breakthroughs in energy efficiency with its advanced process. Dimensity 9000 also features a next-generation Armv9 CPU with an Arm Cortex-X2 supercore at 3.05ghz. Three Arm Cortex-A710 cores up to 2.85ghz; Four Arm Cortex-A510 energy efficiency cores. It supports LPDDR5X memory, speed up to 7500Mbps. These configurations provide unimaginable computing power for smartphones, so it’s no wonder that the Antutu became the first chip to exceed one million points.
In order to cater to the growing needs of users to take photos, the ISP performance of Dimensity 9000 has also been improved by leaps and leaps. It is powered by a flagship 18-bit HDR-ISP image signal processor that enables three cameras to shoot HDR video simultaneously with low power performance. It has high performance ISP speeds of up to 9 billion pixels per second, supporting three cameras simultaneously processing 18-bit HDR video and triple exposure with three homogeneous pools, and it can support up to 320 megapixel cameras.
