Igeekphone previously reported that the Dimensity 8300 processor has appeared in the GeekBench run library, and its performance is the same as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, but in the latest OpenCL run score, the run score is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The Mediatek Dimensity 8300 processor, powered by the Arm Mali-G615 MP6 GPU, has an OpenCL run score of 9112, which is twice the Adreno 725 (4056) used by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. It is also close to the Adreno 740 (9440 points) used by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The Geekbench list also shows that the 8300’s GPU clock is 1400 MHz, which is more than users would expect for a mid-range chip.
