Mediatek has unveiled its new Dimensity 7200 mobile platform, featuring advanced AI video capabilities, game optimization technology and 5G connection speeds. It is the first new platform of Dimensity 7000 series.
Dimensity 7200 is based on the same 4nm manufacturing process as the 9200 and has an octa-core CPU architecture, including two 2.8GHz Arm Cortex-A715 cores and six Cortex-A510 cores with an integrated AI processor APU 650. It also has the characteristics of low power consumption while improving the computing efficiency of AI.
In addition, it integrates Arm Mali-G610 GPU, is equipped with HyperEngine 5.0 game engine, supports AI-VRS variable rendering, intelligent regulation and other technologies, which can reduce game power consumption and optimize battery life.
In terms of imaging, Dimensity 7200 is equipped with 14-bit HDR-ISP image processor Imagiq 765, which can support up to 200 million pixels of main photography and 4K HDR video recording.
In terms of signals, Dimensity 7200 integrates a Sub-6GHz 5G modem with downstream speeds up to 4.7Gbps. It supports 5G dual-carrier aggregation, 5G dual-card dual-standby and dual-card VoNR, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Smartphones powered by Dimensity 7200 mobile platform are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2023.
