Apple’s iPad Air 4 made its debut early this morning with the first bionic chip of its 5nm processor A14.
Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi In China and general manager of Redmi brand, took the opportunity to warm up the new Xiaomi products: Are you expecting new products with 5nm processor?
Netizens have commented on this, implying that Redmi K40 series and Xiaomi MI11 series will both be equipped with the 5nm flagship snapdragon 875 processor.
The chip is expected to be released in December, and Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO and others will be the first to make the snapdragon 875 chip commercially.
Samsung has started mass-producing the Snapdragon 875 on its South Korean production line using EUV devices, which it will contract with the Apple A14 and Huawei Kirin 9000 under the TSMC 5nm standard.
The Snapdragon 875 will likely be based on a combination of the Cortex X1’s large core and the Cortex A78’s large core. The Cortex-X1 has a 23% improvement in integer performance compared to the Cortex-A78, and the phone learning capabilities of the Cortex-X1 are double those of the Cortex-A78.
If Qualcomm snapdragon 875 is using the Architecture X1+Cortex A78, then it’s likely to continue the “1+3+4” pattern and refresh its Android performance record again.
