Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new smartwatch, the Tambour Horizon Light Up, powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform, which remains Wear OS’s most powerful smartwatch platform. The Tambour Horizon Light Up is the successor to the company’s Tambour Horizon, which was released in 2019. As a reference, the Tambour Horizon uses the Wear 3100S, 1GB of ram, and Wear OS 2.
The Tambour Horizon Light Up retains its predecessor’s 1GB of RAM and boasts 8GB of storage. However, Louis Vuitton has ditched Wear OS in favour of a customised operating system that works with Android, Hong Kong and iOS.
In addition, the smartwatch has a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a 390 x 390 pixel resolution. Louis Vuitton uses a constant display display (AoD) with 24 RGB leds around the device’s display. As you can see in the photo below, the leds are ablaze with various Louis Vuitton logos.
