Next month, LG will launch its first smartphone with connectivity 5G that will probably be called LG V50 ThinQ. The company could also present another high-end model in MWC 2018 by the end of next month, the LG G8 ThinQ (codename: Alpha).
Today the guys from Mobiel Kopen have found battery certification documents at the Brazilian certification institution Anatel. The certificate is issued to LG Electronics for a battery with model number BL-T41.
The battery has a nominal capacity of 3400mAh and a typical capacity of 3500mAh is mentioned in the battery itself. The certification also reveals that the LG BL-T41 battery is compatible with ‘Projecto Alpha’, the code name of the LG G8 ThinQ. In comparison, the current LG G7 ThinQ comes with a 3000mAh battery, so an increase of 500 mAh would certainly be welcome.
Although the G7 ThinQ is equipped with an LCD screen, considering its 6.1-inch, 3120×1440 resolution screen and the Snapdragon 845 processor, the 3000mAh battery is very worrying. As it stands now, the endurance of the LG G8 ThinQ should be more reassuring.
The LG G8 ThinQ will be equipped with a 6.1-inch display with a Notch design. At present, there is less information about new Smartphone of LG, and it is said that it will be equipped with Sound-on-Display technology. Other reports indicate that the LG V50 ThinQ is expected to be equipped with a 4000mAh battery and will be on the MWC 2019 along with the G8 ThinQ.
