Lenovo is a big company back at China, with a big line of mobiles, tablets, notebooks and various gadgets. Recently, at IFA 2016 in Beriline, Lenovo announced a new notebook, the Lenovo Yoga Book. This new Yoga Book comes with two touch surfaces such as the 10.1inch display for the first and a conventional notebook with the keyboard as the second touch surface and a virtual keyboard. On the other hand, Chuwi is also a very well known company mainly for its tablets and notebooks. Don’t forget that only recently reviewed the Chuwi Hi10 plus that came to me by Gearbest. The Chuwi Hi10 Plus is a dual boot tablet (Windows 10 + Remix OS 2.0) with 10.8” display and 4GB RAM and 64GB of ROM.
Design
The Chuwi Hi10 Plus is a 10.8” display tablet with 1920 x 1280 (WUXGA) screen resolution. At the side we see the ac port, micro hdmi, micro usb, mic, tft card slot, at the top are the power button and up/down for the volume, at the other side are the speakers. The Chuwi Hi10 Plus has a solid construction, with nice, fast reaction on the touch screen, which is for both, and android and windows version. The tablet also features 2 camera, one front at 2.0 MP, one back at 2.0 MP. The tablet supports docking interface, which we can see it at the bottom part, where we can connect the keyboard from Chuwi. It is good to buy a case with keyboard. It will protect your tablet form hits, and it will be easier to use it in the windows version. Watch the video in the end to see what I mean. The Chuwi Hi10 Plus weights just 686 grams and it’s dimensions are 27.64 x 18.48 x 0.85 cm.
On the other hand, the Lenovo Yoga Book, comes with a little smaller screen, 10.1 inch to be more exact and with a little worst resolution, 1920 x 1080 (FHD). The screen type is Capacitive,IPS. The Lenovo Yoga Book is equipped with TF card slot, Micro USB Slot, Micro HDMI and 3.5mm Headphone Jack. The dimensions of the Lenovo Yoga Book are 25.66 x 17.08 x 0.96 cm and weights only 0.690 kg.
Hardware
The Chuwi Hi10 Plus under the hood has the quad core Intel Atom X5-Z8350 clocked up to 1.44GHz at 14nm. For graphics come with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 400. The Hi10 Plus comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This storage is 8.4GB for the android partition and 47GB fro the windows partition. The Hi10 Plus supports and external storage with TFT card up to 128GB.
The Lenovo Yoga Book on the other hand is hiding under the hood an Quad core Intel Cherry Trail Z8550 clocked up to 1.44GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. And the Lenovo also support external TF card up to 128GB.
Features
The Chuwi Hi10 Plus supports Dual Boot. When you boot up the tablet, you have 10 sec to choose what OS will start. In Windows 10 you get in a non activated version, which you can activate without any problem, since the installed key is legitimate and not trial. Inside it you can find a trial version of MS Office Cloud. The Hi10 Plus connects to the internet but only in 2.4GHz, not 5GHz. Also features BT 4.0. At the windows version there is a shortcut which turns you windows tablet, to android. At the android version, you see Remix OS 2.0, has a preferable store. Remix OS 2.0 is based upon Android 5.1.1.
The Lenovo Yoga Book features WIFI connection of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and BT v4.0 for connecting with other devices. It has two cameras, one at the front and one on the rear. The one on the rear is a 8.0MP, when the one at the front is a 2.0MP. From images supports BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG and PNG files. For audio supports AAC and MP3. For video you can watch 3GP and MP4 and from MS Office supports Excel, PPT and Word. The unique feature that the Lenovo Yoga Book is the ability to draw or write anything on the keyboard surface and this will be transferred automatically in the pc.The Real Pen uses 2048 levels of pressure, which can give a precision and a control that you expect only from a traditional pen on paper. If you don’t want to draw or handwrite something anymore, activate the Type mode and you have a Halo Keyboard light up only when you need it.
Battery
The Chuwi Hi10 Plus comes with a built-in 3.7V/8400mAh, which can give you about 5 hours video playing time. For charging uses the usb-c port that has.
The Lenovo Yoga Book comes with a 3.7V / 8500 mAh Lithium-ion battery. The battery when is fully charge, you can see up to 4 hours video playing time.
Conclusion
Chuwi Hi10 Plus and Lenovo Yoga Book are both very good. Chuwi Hi10 Plus comes with very good specs, features that can uptake any app or game. The Lenovo on the other hand is also very good, strong and fast. Comes with unique features that you can’t miss.
