Before the opening of CES 2023 in early January, Lenovo released a large wave of new PC products in advance, including a new generation of ThinkPad X1 notebooks. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is equipped with Intel’s 13th-generation Core i5/i7 P28 processor which has not yet been officially released, and the specific specifications will be announced later. It is reported that Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon has evolved to the 11th generation of the family, continuing the 14-inch display with a resolution of up to 2880×1800 and obtaining HDR500 TrueBlack certification. The maximum memory is 64GB LPDDR5, and the maximum hard disk is 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The measurements are exactly the same as the previous generation, still 315.6 x 222.5 x 15.36mm, and the weight is 1.12kg. The interface provides two Thunderbolt 4, two USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0b, and 3.5 audio holes. The battery capacity is 57Whr and supports 65W fast charging.
This generation of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a little change that has not been attempted in the past 30 years, that is, a large number of recycled materials are used. The X1 Carbon palm rest uses recycled magnesium, and the bottom shell uses recycled aluminum.
In terms of price, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon starts at $1,729 (about 12,000 yuan) and will start shipping in April next year.
