I recently posted a post titled “ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2024” in the /r/thinkpad section of the Reddit community and shared 4 device renderings.
The post declares that the next generation of Lenovo ThinkPad, named ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12, is showcased.
Searched for relevant information and haven’t found much about the ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12, but it essentially confirms that it will utilize Intel’s next-generation Meteor Lake processor.
Judging from the pictures, the first change is the trackpad design. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12 employs a trackpad similar to the ThinkPad Z13, featuring integrated TrackPoint buttons.
Visually, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2024 Gen 12 seems to exhibit the same reverse notch with a camera bump as the ThinkPad Z series or ThinkPad X13 Gen 4. Last but not least, Lenovo seems to have eliminated the X1 logo from the palm rest and placed it on the outside.
