I recently shared a post titled “Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2024” in the /r/thinkpad section of the Reddit community, featuring 4 device renderings. This post introduces the next generation of Lenovo ThinkPad, named ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12.
While searching for relevant information about the ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12, not much has been found. However, it has been essentially confirmed that the laptop will utilize Intel’s next-generation Meteor Lake processor.
Examining the pictures reveals the first notable change in the trackpad design. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon G12 adopts a trackpad similar to the one found on the ThinkPad Z13, complete with integrated TrackPoint buttons.
From a visual perspective, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 seems to showcase the same reverse notch with a camera bump, reminiscent of the ThinkPad Z series or ThinkPad X13 Gen 4. Lastly, the X1 logo has been removed from the palm rest and now resides on the exterior.
