Lenovo has been granted two patents that indicate two upcoming phones with a ‘slider’. It would contain the front camera so that the rest of the phone consists entirely of the screen. The difference between the phones is in the number of cameras on the front and back.
The patent application for the telephones was discovered by a British telephone comparator. The patents have been filed with the Chinese patent office, so it is possible that the devices will ultimately not appear in Europe. The devices would fall in the Z5 line or at least look a lot like that.
In the application, you can see how the phone has a ‘slider’ with which the back can be pushed up a bit. This is how the selfie camera of the device appears. That is different from the company’s previous Z5 smartphone, which turned out to have a considerable notch.
The patent shows that there will be two different devices, with different front cameras. On the first phone, you can see a single front camera, on the second there are two.
The rear camera of the device also stands out. It is in a large round bulge, comparable to Motorola phones. There are also two different versions of this, with a double and triple camera on the back, respectively. Other specifications about the device are not known. The Lenovo has also not yet announced that it is working on such a device.
