Today at 1 pm Lenovo officially released the latest Legion Y7000P in ChinaJoy, and it offers rather interesting value for money. While 144 Hz slim-bezel displays have been around for some time, they have been reserved for pricier laptops. The Legion Y7000P is priced from just 6599 yuan ($965).
The most affordable variant of the Legion Y7000P comes with an Intel Core i5 8300H inside, with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB inside. The slim bezel display covers 72% NTSC gamut, which is in-line with most of the displays out there. The bezels here are so thin that you get an 84% screen-to-body ratio with the Legion Y7000P. What I really love about these laptops is that they offer a minimum of 8GB of RAM.
If you have higher demands, you can opt for the higher-specced Legion Y7000P with a hexa-core i7 8750H CPU, 512GB SSD, and a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, bringing the price up to 8699 yuan ($1272). The entire chassis appears to have been redesigned, with aggressive venting on the back and bottom panels. Interestingly, Lenovo moved most of the I/O ports to the rear between the vents, which would make cable management much easier when used with a full set of peripherals.
