Lenovo has presented 15 new notebooks from the ThinkPad series, all of which have received processor upgrades and some have been given a new design. Refreshed laptops include the new 11th Gen AMD Ryzen 5000 or Intel vPro mobile processors.
The communication capabilities of notebooks have also been improved. Versions with AMD processors are equipped with Wi-Fi 6 wireless modules, and versions with Intel chips are equipped with Wi-Fi 6E modules. In addition, some configurations are supplemented with 5G modems.
The updated Lenovo ThinkPad X13 i (Intel), X13 (AMD), and X13 Yoga (Intel) laptops receive displays with an aspect ratio of 16:10. This will provide more room for users to multitask and reduce the need for scrolling and zooming out. The X13 additionally offers a new Dolby Audio speaker system with user-facing speakers, which were located on the bottom on previous models.
Lenovo ThinkPad T-Series laptops (T14s i, T14 i and T15 with Intel processors and T14s and T14 with AMD chips), L-Series (L14 and L15 with AMD and L14 i and L15 i with Intel), P-Series (P14s, P14s i and P15s) also received new security solutions including Match-on-Chip fingerprint scanners. Some Intel processor-based systems, such as the T14s i and X13 i, are equipped with presence sensors.
Most of the updated Intel-based laptops will hit the market in March, with AMD-based models in May. The only exception is the X13 Yoga model, which will go on sale in April. Prices for T-Series laptops start at $ 1159, L-Series at $ 689, P-Series at $ 1369, X13 at $ 1139, X13 Yoga at $ 1379.
