According to the Cabinet decision of February 22, 2022, the Kyrgyz State Tax Service has banned the circulation of goods with no marked consumption tax from July 1, 2023.
The following goods not marked with GST will be banned from circulation:
Beer classified under cargo code HS 2203 (bulk and packaged)
Nicotine Containing Liquid for use in electronic cigarettes (HS 2404)
Disposable e-cigarettes containing liquid (HS 2404)
Electronic cigarettes and similar personal electronic atomizing devices for the delivery of nicotine (HS 8543 40 0000)
Heating Tobacco Products (HS 2404)
For goods that are not marked but need to be marked, fines will be imposed if the GST mark or identification mark is not printed on the goods and/or packaging during the production, import, introduction, storage and sale, or if the regulations and/or rules on the use of the identification mark are violated, but do not constitute an offence. According to the Code of Violations, individuals will be fined 20,000 som (about 1,660 yuan) and legal persons will be fined 65,000 som (about 5,400 yuan).
Therefore, the State Tax Office of Kyrgyzstan reminds everyone of the need to mark products in a timely manner in accordance with the above-mentioned Cabinet decision.
