Since Qualcomm introduced the upgraded Snapdragon 855 SoC, gaming smartphones have begun to have a new version – Phone Asus ROG II, ZTE nubia Red Magic 3, 2 Pro Black Shark. Currently, Vivo also participates, with iQOO Pro 5G, and will introduce it to the world in exactly two weeks on August 22.
Although the Dongguan-based phone maker has not officially said anything about the Snapdragon 855+, it is clear that the new iQOO phone is coming soon to compete with other gaming smartphones.
According to rumored specs and phone leaked images expected to be called Plus instead of Pro, it will be similar to the first vivo iQOO – three cameras on the back, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage capacity and fast charging 44W for 4500mAh battery.
Because the phone has a 5G name in its name, it is clear that vivo is launching it as its first phone ready for the next generation network. This means that the Snapdragon 855+ chipset will be combined with the Snapdragon X50 modem, providing gigabit speed and actual latency for users.
In terms of price, the iQOO Pro 5G is expected to cost 4498 CNY (about $650) but may have other price tags if there are more memory options. We will have to wait another two weeks until everything is clear and until then we can only play speculative games.
