iQOO has officially confirmed on its Weibo that the iQOO 8 series will launch at 7:30 pm (local time) on August 17 in China. This is also the product that the company introduced at the ChinaJoy 2021 event. It is expected that the company will launch two models, iQOO 8 and 8 Pro.
Some teasers suggest that the chipset and charging features will be the highlights of the iQOO 8 series. And today, the company shared another teaser, which revealed that the iQOO 8 will be the world’s first E5 high-brightness luminescent material. The screen supports a native 1 billion color display, up to 2K resolution, and has a high pixel density of 517 PPI.
As can be seen from the poster, this smartphone does not use the under-screen front camera that many manufacturers have launched but continues to use the front centered punch-hole. However, from the official publicity, I am very confident in this camera.
In addition, if you increase the brightness of the teaser, you can see that there is a long groove on the top of iQOO 8. It may be a speaker or something else. Guess it yourself.
Previous leaks also suggest that the smartphone (captured with Vivo model number V2141A) approved by the Chinese authority TENAA could be one of the iQOO 8 series smartphones. The device was captured with an onboard Snapdragon 888+ chipset, along with up to 12GB of RAM (4GB of virtual RAM) and up to 256GB of internal memory.
The smartphone will come with the OriginOS 1.0 operating system based on Android 11. Finally, the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro can support 160W or at least 120W of Flash Charge technology. As the launch of these phones approaches, we can expect iQOO to share more details about these phones ahead of launch.
