With the release of the next iPhone still a few months away, Apple is ready to hold a big event in September. It is rumored that the launch of iPhone 15 series will be held on September 12.
Foreign media recently broke the news that the iPhone 15 Pro series is expected to become Apple’s biggest iPhone upgrade in three years, and the new machine has a thinner bezel and a new camera system.
According to sources, the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro series will feature thinner bezels, a step toward Apple’s dream of an edge-to-edge iPhone.
To this end, Apple will use a new LIPO technology on the display of the iPhone 15 Pro series models to reduce the size of the bezel around the display to 1.5 mm. In comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro model has a screen bezel of about 2.2mm.
In addition to narrower bezels, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 and 15 Pro series will also get the biggest upgrade since 5G capabilities were added three years ago.
Among them, the iPhone 15 Pro series will be equipped with a faster 3nm A17 Bionic chip. Apple is also said to have replaced the stainless steel frame with titanium, which is stronger, lighter, and of higher quality.
It is reported that the iPhone 15 Pro series will continue to have a frosted glass back, but the edges connecting the sides and front will not be as sharp as before. The new phone will also include a new action button that can be customized to trigger a variety of tasks, such as starting the camera, turning on the flashlight, turning on accessibility features or translating text. It is worth mentioning that all four new iphones this year will switch to USB Type-C ports.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have a larger 48MP sensor that can capture more light. Among them, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has also added a new 12MP stealth lens to the three-camera combination, supporting up to 6x optical zoom. The iPhone 15 Pro may come with a 12MP 3x optical zoom lens.
These upgrades are likely to result in price increases compared to the previous generation. The iPhone 15 Pro will be more expensive than the 14 Pro model, with a possible starting price of $1,099, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $1,299. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are likely to start at $799 and $899, respectively.
