It may seem like the iPhone 13 is still hot and new, but in fact, it’s been less than six months since the iPhone 14 was released.
According to a new leak from Mark Gurman, iPhone 14 will come in four models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Given the similarity in size, how does Apple differentiate? There are three main answers.
First, the Pro series adopts a new perforated screen, that is, instead of bangs, Face ID is simplified into a capsule screen with a hole in the screen, and a circular camera hole next to it, forming a shape similar to “exclamation mark”.
Second, only the Pro and Pro Max are powered by the A16 processor. The two standard versions still use the A15 processor or an A15 processor enhancement.
Third, the main camera (wide Angle) of the Pro series has been upgraded to 48 megapixels and supports 8K video, while the two standard versions are still 12 megapixels.

Although such a large distinction may “force you to buy more”, it may also reduce users’ choices to some extent. The difference between dual-camera and triple-camera on iPhone 12/13 is not enough.
