Apple’s upcoming iOS 16 operating system will have many major changes, but the design is not much different from iOS 15.
Apple is preparing to release its next-generation operating system, iOS 16, at its 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 6. The industry speculates that Apple will introduce major changes to the iOS operating system, but the system appearance and interface will not change much.
With iOS 16, Apple will introduce “significant changes across the entire system,” including “new ways to interact and some brand new Apple apps,” according to the report. But at the same time, Apple isn’t “completely redesigning the software,” and iOS16 will be similar to iOS 15 in terms of the overall design.
In addition, the report also said that functional adjustments to Apple’s smartwatch operating system watchOS 9 “will also be important.” Previous rumors said watchOS 9 would add an always-available low-power mode, expand existing atrial fibrillation detection capabilities, and introduce more exercise types and running metrics.
