The Innokin Endura S1, a hybrid device, combines the user-friendliness of a disposable vape with the longevity and performance of a pod vape. This device falls into the category of refillable disposables, which has been gaining popularity with an increasing number of manufacturers producing them.
So, what exactly is a refillable disposable? In the case of the Endura S1, it boasts a 2ml tank that allows users to fill and refill it with their preferred e-juice up to 15 times. Additionally, it can be conveniently recharged using the Type-C charging port, resembling the functionality of a pod vape.
However, what sets it apart is that the coil is integrated into the tank. So, when the flavor starts to deteriorate, you can simply dispose of the device and switch to a new one, just as you would with any other disposable. As a result, you have in your hands a refillable disposable device.
The Endura S1 is engineered to provide up to 7000 puffs, utilizing the same coil technology found in Innokin’s other vapes. It features a 0.8Ω mesh coil that, according to Innokin, delivers vivid flavor, satisfaction, and dense vapor without compromising on flavor.
The Endura S1 consistently outputs 13.5W, ensuring a uniform experience regardless of the battery level. With a built-in 650mAh battery that can be recharged via Type-C, it offers convenience and reliability.
If you’re in the market for a new pod vape or disposable device, you’ll find all the information you need in this comprehensive review.

Design & Build Quality
The Innokin Endura S1 is an exceptionally compact and portable device. Resembling a vape pen, it stands at 101mm in height and has an 18.5mm diameter. It’s smaller than most disposables currently available and even smaller than most pod vapes.
The device has a tube-like shape, except a thin, flat section on the front. This tube shape makes it comfortable to hold and easy to pocket or stow in a bag. The flat section serves as a natural resting place for your thumb while vaping.
Branding on the device is minimal, with just an Innokin logo and “Endura S1” printed on it. This simplicity gives it a clean and minimalist appearance.
The Endura S1 is available in eight colors: Charcoal, Graphite, Silver, Pearl, Celadon, Cerulean, Irus, and Blush. The first four colors have a solid, matte-metallic finish, while the remaining four have glossy gradients. All the color options are attractive, but the matte-metallic solid colors are particularly appealing.
In addition to the color variations, Charcoal, Graphite, and Silver have a tinted e-juice tank, while the other five colors feature a clear tank. While you can still see the e-juice level in the tinted tanks, it’s not as clear as with the transparent ones.
The tank is integrated into the device and cannot be removed. Similarly, the coil inside is non-removable, highlighting the disposable nature of these devices. They are meant to be discarded once the flavor deteriorates.
Surprisingly, the mouthpiece of the Endura S1 is comfortable for a disposable device. It is thin and oval-shaped, fitting nicely to the contour of your lips. It’s also just tall enough to allow for hands-free vaping by holding the device with your lips.
On the side of the tank, you’ll find the fill port. The rubber bung that seals the fill port is robust, ensuring a secure seal. The fill hole is wide enough to accommodate e-juice bottles of all sizes, and refilling is hassle-free. It’s important to note that since the fill port is located midway up the tank, it’s best to fill the Endura S1 while it’s on its side to ensure proper filling.
The bottom of the Endura S1 houses the Type-C charging port, an airflow hole, and an LED indicator. The dimness of the light allows for discreet vaping in low-light environments without drawing much attention.
Considering it’s a disposable device, the Endura S1 boasts impressive build quality and doesn’t look out of place among traditional pod vapes. In fact, it can easily pass for a pod vape rather than a disposable one.
Features
The Endura S1 is as user-friendly as other disposables, with the added benefit of being refillable. The tank can hold up to 2ml of e-juice, which is comparable to most pod vapes.
Inside the tank, you’ll find a 0.8Ω coil optimized for use with 50VG e-juices. Although it can handle 60VG e-juices, long draws may result in hints of dry hits. To ensure the best experience with the S1, sticking with 50VG e-juices is recommended.
A standout feature of the S1 is its constant 13.5W output, regardless of the battery charge level. This provides a consistent vaping experience where each draw feels the same, whether you’ve just charged it or have been vaping continuously.
Innokin claims that the Endura S1 can be refilled up to 15 times, equivalent to 30ml of e-juice, and can deliver up to 7000 puffs before needing replacement. This longevity is achievable due to recent advancements in vaping technology.
The built-in 650mAh battery in the Endura S1 lasts for nearly two full tanks of e-juice before requiring a recharge. Charging is conveniently done through the Type-C port on the bottom of the device, taking approximately 90 minutes to reach a full charge. The S1 can be vaped while charging if needed.
How to Use the Endura S1
As mentioned earlier, the Endura S1 is incredibly easy to use, making it accessible even for beginners new to vaping. While it requires a bit more effort than a disposable, it offers the advantage of using your preferred e-juice flavors.
To get started, remove the Endura S1 from the box. The S1 utilizes a 0.8Ω mesh coil, best suited for nicotine salt e-juices with medium to high strength, such as 30mg to 50mg/ml. It can also handle freebase nicotine e-juices. Innokin recommends using a 50VG e-juice for optimal wicking and vaping performance.
Unplug the fill port, tip the Endura S1 on its side, and fill the tank as much as possible before replacing the fill port. Allow the coil to saturate for 5-10 minutes. Once the waiting period is over, remove the sticker from the bottom of the device and start vaping.
When the tank is depleted after approximately 400 puffs, simply refill it and continue vaping. You can refill the S1 around 15 times (equivalent to 30ml of e-juice) before the flavor starts to deteriorate. Since the coil is non-removable, you should dispose of the S1 when it reaches the end of its usable life and switch to a new one.
The LED indicator on the bottom of the S1 will display green when the battery level is above 15%. When it falls below this threshold, the light will turn red. Due to the dimness of the light, it may be easy to overlook, so it’s advisable to check the LED regularly. Neglecting to monitor the LED could result in the device unexpectedly running out of power.
During charging, the LED will glow red, indicating that the S1 is charging. Once it reaches a full charge, the LED will change to a solid green, signaling that it’s safe to unplug the device.
Performance
For a simple disposable device, the Endura S1 offers performance that rivals that of a pod vape. The 0.8Ω mesh coil inside is of high quality, as expected from Innokin’s reputation for producing reliable devices.
I tested the Endura S1 with 50VG nicotine salt e-juices in strengths of 20mg, 25mg, and 35mg/ml. The mesh coil handled these e-juices exceptionally well, delivering impressive flavor. The experience is on par with other mid-range pod vapes, offering above-average performance.
However, using higher VG e-juices, such as 60VG, led to issues. Extended draws resulted in the beginning of dry hits, necessitating shorter draws and pauses between puffs to allow the coil to rewick. This limitation underscores the importance of sticking with 50VG e-juices for the best experience with the Endura S1.
The draw on the Endura S1 is highly satisfying, providing a tight mouth-to-lung draw reminiscent of smoking a cigarette. The vapor is pleasantly warm, bordering on hot but still comfortable. The draw activation function works flawlessly, instantly activating with every draw, ensuring a consistent experience that doesn’t cut out.
One of the standout features of the Endura S1 is its 13.5W constant output. Devices with consistent output tend to deliver a superior vaping experience compared to those where the draw weakens as the battery depletes. With the S1, each draw remains consistent until the battery is nearly exhausted. The only potential drawback is that the LED indicator, located on the bottom, is not very noticeable, and users may not receive a clear warning when the battery is running low.
Additionally, it would have been beneficial to include an additional LED color, such as blue, to indicate a battery level between 30% and 75%. This would offer more warning when the battery is approaching a low charge. Currently, users may see a green LED and believe the battery is fine, only for it to quickly turn red when it drops below 15%. A bit more warning would enhance the user experience with the S1.
Finally, the Endura S1’s ability to deliver up to 7000 puffs is impressive. After refilling my unit ten times, totaling around 4000 puffs, it continues to perform exceptionally well. While there has been a slight decrease in flavor, it has not yet reached a point where I need to replace the device. It’s easy to envision the S1 achieving the full 7000 puffs before requiring replacement.
Verdict
The Innokin Endura S1 stands out as one of the best “refillable disposable” devices on the market. But who should consider purchasing this device?
Two categories of vapers will find the Endura S1 appealing. First, if you’re a novice vaper seeking a hassle-free device that allows you to use your preferred e-juice flavor and strength, the Endura S1 is an excellent choice. It’s also suitable for those who enjoy pod vapes and want the convenience of using their own e-juice without the complexities of changing coils.
However, even if you don’t fit into the aforementioned categories, the Endura S1 may still be a suitable choice if you’re drawn to its features. There aren’t many drawbacks to this device, aside from the potential for some waste due to disposability. Nevertheless, it offers a more environmentally friendly option compared to fully disposable devices that cannot be refilled.
Considering the overall package, the Innokin Endura S1 delivers flavorful vaping, a tight MTL draw reminiscent of smoking, and the capability to provide 7000 puffs. Given its reasonable price (approximately $10), it’s an attractive option that’s hard to fault.
