The Huawei P40 series will be launched on March 26 in Paris, and new information shows that there is also a new device that will be presented together with this Flagship. According to information from the well-known Winfuture website, Huawei will launch a new smartwatch – the Huawei Watch GT 2e will be launched on March 26 alongside the P40 series.
The Winfuture website also has released new images and details of the new watch. As we can see, the Watch GT 2e looks very different from the Watch GT 2. The new watch maintains the circular dial but has a new design for the tachometer. The round buttons on the right have been replaced by two rectangular buttons.
The bracelets have a different design and will not work with any of the previous watches, but will be replaceable and can be removed easily. The back of the watch includes two charging connectors and sensors for measuring heart rate. The Huawei Watch GT 2e will be available in Graphite, Volcano and Mint colors.
Specifications
The Huawei Watch GT 2e is not very different from the Watch GT 2. It comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a 424 x 424 resolution. It will carry the HiSilicon Hi1132 processor, 16MB of RAM and 4GB of storage capacity.
The battery has 455mAh of capacity and autonomy of 14 days. It has Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity which can be useable with Android and iOS devices. Other features offered by the watch include GPS, barometer, compass, pedometer, and a gyroscope. It also features a microphone and support for voice commands.
The Huawei Watch GT 2e weighs 25 grams without the strap and measures 53 x 10.8 x 46.8 mm. Official information about the price of the new watch is still unknown, but rumors say it will be in the range of €200 (just over $220).
