President of Huawei’s consumer business mobile phone product line announced that Huawei has made breakthroughs in the research of wearable blood pressure measurement technology on the wrist. The first Huawei smartwatch that can measure blood pressure has passed the medical device registration test. A few days ago, a number of digital bloggers exposed the packaging box of Huawei’s blood pressure smartwatch. Consistent with the previous news, the Huawei blood pressure smartwatch will be named Huawei Watch D, with a square dial design and running the HarmonyOS operating system.
As for the release time, it was previously revealed that Huawei will release many new products in late December, including blood pressure watches, ink screen products, and Bluetooth glasses.
In accordance with past practice, after the outflow of similar items like the Huawei Watch D packaging box, it means that the new product is not far from the official release.
Not long ago, the Food and Drug Administration of Guangdong Province released the list of products approved for the pilot program of the Guangdong Medical Device Registrant System (as of October 8, 2021), among which Huawei’s wrist single-lead ECG collector was officially approved for production.
According to the domestic medical device product data of the State Food and Drug Administration, Huawei Watch D single-lead ECG collector belongs to the second category of medical equipment, with the registration certificate number “Yueyi Zhuzhun 20202071705”, and the trustee is Goertek Co., Ltd. and Weifang Jingwei High-tech Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., approved on September 10, 2021, and valid until October 22, 2025.
In addition, at the press conference in late December, Huawei’s flagship small folding screen-Huawei Mate V (tentative name) is also expected to appear on the same stage, which is worth looking forward to.
