Huawei was the first manufacturer to introduce a folding phone. This happened last year after many delays and modifications to the flexible display and folding mechanism. The first model was Mate X and after it came the second improved version of Mate Xs. And according to LetsGoDigital, another folding phone could be born. At least it might seem so that the manufacturer had it patented.
According to the drawings that are part of the patent application, it seems that as part of the construction, Huawei is somewhat described by Samsung. The phone resembles a competing Galaxy Fold. The Huawei folding phone can be folded similarly to the Galaxy Fold, ie along the vertical axis inwards. The bending takes place through half of the device.
When disassembled, the device looks like a larger tablet. In the folded state, there is a secondary display on the outside, which, however, does not occupy the entire folded area. Next to it is a vertical camera module with four sensors. According to the square border, one of them could be a periscope. The selfie camera is missing from this folding phone.
This patent application from Huawei was approved yesterday. This could mean that there is nothing to stop the production of the prototype. But we cannot have a guarantee that mass production will eventually occur. Although, according to tippers, another folding Huawei phone should appear sometime at the end of the year.
The most optimistic estimate falls in October / October, which should be just after the launch of the next generation Galaxy Fold. However, this is a lot of speculation and you will have to wait for confirmation from the manufacturer.
