Huawei is preparing to launch a new flagship early next year. The smartphone is expected to come with the name P40 and P40 Pro. Although Huawei also has not yet determined the launch of Mate 30 Pro for the global market. However, Huawei still continues to bring its flagship smartphone.
As you know, Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, which have been sliding for several months, did not come with GMS (Google Mobile Suites) support. Huawei offers its own ecosystem with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and App Gallery as its application store. According to some people, especially in markets outside of China, Google’s support is one of the crucial factors.
In contrast to the Chinese market which for a long time the country did not rely on Google services so that Google’s alligator application could not run in that country.
As reported by AndroidAuthority (11/19), it is not known with certainty that the Huawei P40 Pro will be launched with the same or different status. Because until now there has been no news when Huawei’s banning will end. Even so, the latest news says that the US government is likely to extend the Huawei license for approximately 6 months.
Please note that the so-called license is needed so that Huawei continues to work with US-based companies. The collaboration aims to support smartphones and other Huawei devices that have been circulating in the global market.
AndroidAuthority said Huawei is likely to survive by using Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). However, this option is not easy to do. Markets outside China are very dependent on Google services. In Indonesia Mate 30 Pro device is present. However, some applications cannot be used like ordering a motorcycle taxi online.
The Deputy Country Manager (DCMH) of Huawei Indonesia has stated that it is focusing on persuading Android application developers to use the Huawei Mobile Services API. Huawei also mentioned that it has successfully worked on 14 core APIs needed and 55 cores are under development.
