The Chinese company Huawei is preparing to introduce a new flagship camera phone, which will be called Huawei P40 Pro. The announcement will take place in March 2020 (the event is planned in Paris).
Today, Network informant and designer Ben Geskin has released a new high-quality image of this flagship smartphone. Yesterday, a high-quality renderer Huawei P40 appeared on the network, which was allegedly received “through industry channels” and claims a high degree of probability. So, Geskin edited his former renderer Huawei P40 Pro to suit the new announces.
It follows from it that the main changes regarding past “leaks” affected the design of the main camera of the device. Now one of the modules has become square, and the other module has been offset. In past renders of the device, the main camera block looked like this:
According to preliminary data, the main camera of the Huawei P40 Pro contains at least four modules, one of which is periscopic. The exact characteristics of the device’s cameras have not yet been disclosed.
It is known at the same time that the devices of the new series from Huawei (both the Basic and Pro versions) will work under the control of a single-chip platform Kirin 990 5G. The render also confirmed that the smartphone will receive a dual front camera “embedded” into the screen. Its specifications are not yet known.
The Huawei P40 Pro will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphone, which, as previously reported, will receive 5 camera modules and the ability to shoot 8K video at a speed of 30 frames per second. Whether the Huawei P40 Pro will have such an opportunity is currently unknown. Currently, the most advanced camera device, according to the portal DxOMark, has a smartphone Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This camera phone scored 121 points for a record DxOMark rating of the same name.
