Huawei seems to be ready to launch a new “Upgrade” variant of P30, one of the top two smartphones announced last March 26 during a dedicated event held in the city of Paris.
To revive and confirm this indiscretion we thought the TENAA, the Chinese body that in recent hours has certified the device with code name ELE-AL00m (ELE-TL00 and ELE-AL00 are the variants present in China) characterized by the presence of well 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
If we take a look at the TENAA data sheet, we will see that the rest of the specifications of this model are practically identical to the current Huawei P30. Same size (149.1 x 71.3 x 7.57 mm), same weight, 3550mAh of battery (100mAh less), AMOLED screen of 6.1 inches with FullHD + resolution.
The file is accompanied by images, and in them, we see the same design as the Huawei P30. It has three cameras in the back of 40MP + 16MP + 8MP and a front camera of 32MP, USB type-C, a fingerprint reader on the screen and headphone jack. Everything exactly the same.
An interesting fact is that the tab of TENAA shows that the operating system is Android 9 Pie, but there is no mention of whether it will be the AOSP version of Android or an initial version of Ark OS, the operating system that Huawei is developing as Plan B to the American blockade.
The TENAA listing reveals that this 12GB RAM version of Huawei P30 will only come in black. It’s not clear when its official debut will take place, but it all seems like a marketing technique that makes the device more attractive to the public a few months after launch. There are chances that the 12GB RAM model will remain in China alone.
