This morning, Huawei officially confirmed the new flagship the Huwaei Honor 8. The Honor 8 is expected to come with very thin bezels and the company spokesman described the phone as “beautiful and unique.” The configuration of the honor 8 were also revealed. It is reported that the honor 8 will have a sleek double glass + all metal frame design and come equipped with Kirin 955 octacore processor.
The Honor 8 will come with a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The phone will come in 4 versions with ROM capacity of 32GB, 64GB and a whopping 128GB. All will come with really respectable 4GB of RAM and also a camera combination that has an 8-megapixel camera up front and a 12 MP dual main camera. The device will also support an infrared remote control,Type- C USB and yes, it will support NFC(a must with today’s phones). The Honor 8 will also have a built-in battery capacity of 3200mAh and will support quick charging.
Pricing has also been revealed with the 4GB + 32GB at 1999 yuan or around $300 US (This version does not support NFC), There will be another 32 GB model with 4 GB of RAM that will carry support for all networks and be priced at around 2,199 yuan or $332. The 4GB + 64GB will be priced at approx 2499 yuan or around $375 US and last but not least the 4GB + 128GB big boy at 2799 yuan or around $420 US. Huawei have definitely sent out a robust phone in the hopes of making the HUAWEI Honor 8 flagship killer it remains to be seen whether or not this phone is received well by the community. But one thing is for sure, this new offering (on paper) is a step in the right direction.
