Huawei has just launched a new mid-range smartphone that they define as “a flagship for young people.” It is the Huawei Nova 9 that was officially presented last month but has only now been announced for Europe. It comes with an extremely elegant design, a 120 Hz OLED screen, and a 50MP quad-camera as the main attractions to make young people fall in love. Will it make up for it with its quality/price ratio? We will review all your official information to find out.
The first thing that draws attention is its design, with a curved screen of 6.57 inch HDTV with a 120Hz panel, for smoother navigation. In addition, the Huawei Nova 9 is a lightweight device, weighing 175 grams, and thin, just 7.77 mm. Precisely by targeting young audiences, the Chinese manufacturer has integrated a 32MP selfie camera on the screen, which extends for photographs and recordings in low light and can reach a resolution of 4K.
The boost is ensured by the Snapdragon 778G 4G processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Onboard we find a VC Liquid Cooling heat dissipation system and graphene and Touch Turbo technology for intense gaming sessions.
The rear camera, which also achieves a high resolution and includes the Video AIS motion control system, has a classic and oversized look, with rounded shapes and protrudes from the phone. The bright ring that surrounds the main camera, 50MP, is one of the recognizable elements of the Huawei Nova 9. At the bottom is another circular module, which has three complementary cameras: wide-angle, macro, and bokeh.
This model has been developed with an EMUI 12 interface, which with its new features allows the ‘apps’ to be grouped according to their theme in different smart folders. As for the battery, it is 4300mAh with a fast charge of 66W and, according to the company, it reaches a full charge in 38 minutes.
On its back, you can also see the color of the case. This model is manufactured in classic black and stellar blue, which is the color shown in the video, iridescent and with a glitter-like glitter. And it has an anti-fingerprint finish. However, although Huawei has insisted on pointing out that it is also non-slip, after this first contact we have verified that it is not a very successful aspect.
The price of Huawei Nova 9 is 499.90 euros (around $582). It is not cheap at all, but it is a good price given the datasheet (in particular the cameras and the screen). In addition, from today to November 8 it is possible to pre-order it and receives the Huawei FreeBus Pro headphones as a gift. Those who pre-order it by paying 10 euros (about $46.58) then, get a 40 discount on the final price.
