Huawei ‘s MediaPad tablet is one of the cheapest Android tablets currently available in the United States and he skips the number 4 again and will soon introduce a new Android tablet MediaPad M5, either for CES 2018 or shortly afterward at the Mobile World Congress. The 8.4-inch tablet is in the high-end range and is equipped with Kirin 960-Soc. The MediaPad M5 certified Bluetooth is the successor of MediaPad M3 (launched in October 2017), which is also expected to be available in the United States.
MediaPad M5 Bluetooth certification documentation has provided information that it will support Bluetooth version v4.2. Other hardware specifications include an 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a powerful Kirin 960 processor, and Android 4.0 Oreo with an optional EMUI 8.0 interface.
In addition, the device also has a fingerprint sensor, Cat 4 LTE connectivity other features include a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port. Currently, there is no information on the build of the device. However, it is speculated that the MediaPad M5 would be featuring an aluminum body as well as stereo speakers like the M3.
Huawei has not confirmed the availability of the MediaPad M5 yet, but the site for certification of Bluetooth-devices has information on a Huawei’s new tablet, which apparently will be presented at CES 2018 which will take place in Las Vegas. At the same exhibition, there will be an announcement of smartphones Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro for the US market. These phones are rumored to be offered through Verizon and AT&T in the country. it’s speculated that the Chinese company will be using a similar platform to debut the MediaPad M5 tablet. it should be priced around $350 just like the MediaPad M3.
