Apple’s dominance in the tablet market is getting stronger every year with successful iPad models. In the Android market, which is the rival party, both the diversity and the lack of competitiveness of most models with iPads strengthen the hand of Apple. Recently, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 + and Huawei MatePad Pro stood out in this battle. The report from China today contains some leaks related to the next Huawei MatePad.
According to information leaked in a post on Weibo, the new Huawei MatePad will be equipped with a 12.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The design of the new Huawei MatePad is described as being very thin and has no holes or notch in the screen. This makes us think immediately that the machine will use the selfie camera hidden under the screen.
In particular, the new tablet will run on Huawei’s so-called “PadOS” platform, based on the upcoming Harmony operating system. Harmony OS is expected to have the EMUI11 interface but bundled with Google services.
Finally, the next Huawei MatePad is expected to feature the Kirin 9000 chip and could be launched alongside the upcoming Huawei P50 series. Although many fine details such as the tablet’s battery, camera, and model name are not known, leaks will increase as the date of introduction approaches.
