Despite the difficulties, Huawei still plans to continue to update its flagship Smartphone series. According to reports, the Huawei Mate X3 will be released early next year, and the business flagship series Mate 50 will not be absent. However, reports say that although Mate 50 will be powered by Snapdragon 898 and it will still lack 5G network capabilities.
Earlier, a famous Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station claims that Huawei has tested under-screen fingerprint unlocking and POL-less OLED screens on the new folding device. Generally, AMOLED screens will use a polarizing layer to reduce sunlight reflection and make the picture clearer, but at the same time, it will also reduce screen brightness.
The POL-less OLED screen directly integrates the polarizing layer into the panel to reduce the power consumption of the screen. Samsung’s Eco Square technology is one of them, and the screen of Huawei’s new folding phone will also be provided by Samsung.
It is currently speculated that the third-generation folding phone should of Huawei will be called Mate X3, which is expected to be released in February next year. Without a surprise, the appearance should follow the internal folding design like Mate X2, and the specifications will also be the flagship level. However, the specific specifications of the Huawei Mate X3 are still unclear. Whether the processor of this phone will continue to use Kirin 9000 chip, or use Qualcomm’s processor.
In addition, it is reported that another high-end new Mate 50 series that everyone is concerned about will also be unveiled in March 2022. The high-end Mate 50 Pro+ will also follow the trend of flagship phones and adopt the LTPO AMOLED panel.
It is reported that Mate 50 was originally planned to be launched in 2021, but with the postponement of the release of the P50 series, the time has been postponed to next year. The Mate 50 series will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC, but due to the ban, it will not support 5G.
