According to source @Rodent950, the Mate 40 will continue the P40’s screen specs with a resolution of 1200P and a high refresh rate of 90Hz. By the way, Huawei P40 Pro has a resolution of 2640×1200 pixels.
From @rodent950, it is not clear whether Huawei Mate 40 will have 120Hz refresh rate and may opt for 90Hz refresh rate in order to improve battery life.
The screen shape of the Mate 40 is not yet known. Starting with the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro has a top notch screen scheme, which implements 3D face recognition like the iPhone.
It is speculated that the Mate 40 Pro will also feature a top notch screen for 3D face recognition. Of course, the Mate 40 series will also support on-screen fingerprint recognition.
In terms of core features, the Mate 40 series will be the first of a new generation of Kirin flagship processors. The chip is based on a 5nm process and will be delivered in September.
According to industry insiders @mobile chip experts, all the kirin processor chips needed by Huawei by the end of the year, whether 5nm, 7nm, 16nm or 28nm, will be delivered by mid-September, and the shipments of Huawei products in the second half of the year will not be a problem.
So it’s worth looking forward to the Mate 40 series, which is likely to debut in September or October.
