The launch of Huawei’s new flagship smartphone will be delayed until the end of October, according to the latest news.
Mate 40 will be released in four versions: Mate40 Standard edition, Mate 40 Pro, Mate40 Pro+ and Porsche Design edition (the price should be over 10,000 yuan if there is no accident). As for the delay, it may be due to Huawei’s preparation for more supplies, or other reasons.
According to Huawei’s previous practice, the new flagship SoC (probably kirin 1020, based on the 5nm process architecture of Cortex-A77 or A78) should be released in September and first used and launched on the new flagship Mate 40.
In summary, the upcoming Mate 40 series will have a curved screen, but the curvedness of the screen varies from version to version. For example, the curved screen of the Mate 40 Pro is much more curved than the Mate 40, which makes it even more visually striking.
The much-exposed tempered glass of Mate 40 Pro also hints at a more curved screen, which is said to be around 6.6 inches and has a waterfall screen design.

In terms of the toughened film, the Mate 40 Pro has a narrow screen bezel with almost only black edges on the front, but no obvious bezels on the left and right sides. It also bends from side to side, even more than the previously listed Huawei Mate30 Pro.
