Today part of Huawei’s Mate40 device was revealed online. The phone will be equipped with the much-anticipated new generation of Kirin’s flagship chip, the Kirin 9000. In addition, Huawei’s Mate40 series will also debut EMUI11, which will be released in the third quarter of this year.
The Huawei Mate40 will be equipped with the Kirin 9000, which will use the 5nm manufacturing process and ARM Cortex-A78 architecture which can hold 171.3 million transistors per square millimeter, which means that kirin 9000 will have more powerful performance than Kirin 990 5G.
In addition, the phone will also come with a maximum 12GB+512GB memory combination and on-screen fingerprint unlock.
Speaking at the China Information technology 100 Summit 2020 on August 7, Yu said Huawei will launch the Mate40 series in September, but the Kirin chips will not be produced after September 15 because of the US ban.
