As usual with their latest Mate 30 series, Huawei has also announced their Mate 30 RS Porsche Design in China. The new Porsche Design Mate 30 RS features handcrafted premium leather on the back with a long vertical glass stripe.
The Mate 30 RS Porsche Design, like other models, is available only in one storage variant. It comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage. The smartphone will be available for 12999 yuan (around $1823). It will be available in Black and Red versions and its sales will begin at 10:08 am on November 10.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS sports a 6.53-inch ‘Horizon OLED’ display panel that wraps around the edges of the device at an 88-degree angle. While the Porsche Design Mate 30 RS runs on the same Kirin 990 5G chipset as the Mate 30 Pro, it comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage and supports expandable storage up to 256GB.
Like P30 Pro, it only supports a proprietary NM card for memory expansion. It runs EMUI 10 based on Android 10 but lacks support for Google services. It also packs a large 4500mAh battery and supports 40W wired or 27W wireless charging.
For imaging, there is the main 40MP optically stabilized SuperSensing camera with f/1.6 aperture. It is paired with second 40MP Cine Camera with f/1.8 aperture. There is also an 8MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3D depth-sensing camera. For selfies,the Mate 30 RS Porsche Design relies on a 32MP shooter paired with additional depth sensors for face unlock. The smartphone houses an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports 5G network.
