A little over a week after its launch, all the probable technical specifications of Huawei Mate 30 Pro, cameras included, were leaked. Today, its new Information has shared by a well-known insider @ Rodent950 on his twitter. The design of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is no secret to anyone, on the Internet, there are detailed images with all the details.
Let’s start with the display: 6.6-6.8 “depending on whether you consider the rounding at the corners or not, full HD + AMOLED with the unusual resolution of 1176 x 2400 pixels. It will, in fact, be a ” cascade ” screen, with the side edges much more sloping than usual, so as to have renounced the lateral physical keys, in favor of a touch-type volume rocker (always lateral). The physical power button should have been moved to the upper or lower profile instead.
No doubt about the processor: Kirin 990 octa-core, with Mali-G76 MP16 GPU, 3-core NPU, and integrated 5G modem. All accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, expandable with nano SD.
As on Huawei P30, the audio on call will come through display vibration, while on the lower side there will be the main speaker (mono), flanked by the USB-C port. Obviously no audio jack, if anything, it raised hopes.
Always present also the 3D recognition of the face, renewed however with respect to the past, to be faster and safer. You should also be able to measure your heart rate and your breathing rhythm, but this last part is a bit nebulous. There will also be a fingerprint reader, integrated below the display. The battery should be a generous 4500mAh battery with fast 40W wired and 27W wireless charging.
But let’s get to the cameras. In front, we have a 32MP ultrawide sensor, flanked by a ToF sensor, for an accurate portrait mode. On the back, we have instead of the main 40MP sensor Sony IMX600 large 1/1.73 “, with f/1.6, the focal length of 27mm and OIS. Then we find another 40MP “wide cine camera” camera, with a focal length of 18mm and an even larger sensor size: 1/1.55. Furthermore, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom (80mm), f/2.4 and OIS, and finally the ToF camera.
In short, no wide-angle, to the advantage of a sensor particularly optimized for video shooting. A courageous choice on the one hand, which if rewarded by good user experience could bring Huawei back to the Olympus of photography on smartphones.
The presentation of the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be held on September 19. No price information yet. Most likely, the new flagship will cost at the level of last year’s Mate 20 Pro at the start.
