Like many other brands, Huawei does not want to be left out of the 5G fashion that goes through its first days. The company plans to launch its first terminal compatible with this type of networks this summer, belonging to the Mate series.
Specifically, it will be a variant of the Huawei Mate 20 X announced in October last year as the first Huawei terminal focused on gaming. Now, the Mate 20 X 5G will join the fight for the throne of the best 5G terminals along with models like the Mi MIX 3 5G from Xiaomi or the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.

To be open before his arrival, Huawei today shared the first official video with this new terminal as a protagonist, which details some of the most important characteristics of Mate 20 X 5G.
Glancing details terminal, we see that the technical specifications of the terminal do not change with respect to the original X Mate 20. It keeps the large 7.2-inch screen, the Kirin 980 processor which in this case is supported by the co-processor Balong 5000 that grants the 5G capabilities, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, make it clear that this is a terminal with which the brand wants to impress.
In the photographic section, the performance of the Mate 20 X is maintained, with a triple rear camera where 40MP lenses stand out together with a wide angle of 20MP. For the front, we continue with the 24MP lens of its base model. All powered by a battery 4200mAh capacity with a super-fast charge of 40W, one of the only changes with respect to the original variant – in that case, the battery amounted to 5000mAh.
At the moment we do not have an exact date for the arrival of the phone to the market, although we do know that Huawei’s plan is to bring it to Europe this summer, at a price of 889 euros (about $1012). Currently, the device is already on the official website of the company. On the other hand, we know that Mate 20 X 5G is part, along with 16 other devices, of the list of phones that will be updated to Android 10 Q once the new version is available.
