Huawei‘s next flagship smartphone Mate 20 Pro could get a curved screen, similar to Samsung’s high-end models. This is reported by a Russian platform, which relies on industry insiders. Accordingly, the OLED panel should come from the Chinese manufacturer BOE and have an integrated fingerprint sensor.
The Mate 20 Pro would not be the first Huawei smartphone with an edge-curved OLED screen. The Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design presented last year already had such a panel. It is unclear whether the curved screen is reserved for the Pro model.
Like the P20 Pro, the Mate 20 Pro has a triple camera on the back. In addition, two cameras are installed on the front, although it is still unclear why they should be used. In the Huawei Mate 20, the so far not yet announced SoC Kirin 980 will be installed by the in-house chip forge HiSilicon. The official announcement will probably take place during the fall, probably in September or October.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is also rumored to have a new fast-charging technology that can deliver up to 40 watts (10V / 4A). Thus, the charger of the smartphone would deliver twice as much power as the P20.
