In January, the Honor V40 went on sale in China, and a global model will naturally follow. However, foreign media GSMArena got some exclusive inside information, said the actual situation has changed.
According to the report, the Honor 50 series will be released directly in May. Below is a teaser image that hasn’t been officially shared yet. Notice the rounded camera design (you can also see another circular section below).
Foreign media also received a design sketch showing the back of the phone. The camera module will have two circles, seemingly inspired by Cartier rings (Love, Trinity), similar to the design language seen in the web-circulated Huawei P50 renderings. Interestingly, the top circle will hold only one lens, and the bottom circle will hold two modules, with an LED flash in the middle.

The thing on the right appears to be a snap-on filter (or lens?). It would presumably be connected to the camera ring via magnets, which would explain why there is only one module inside the top ring (the lens needs to be in the middle). No word is yet on camera hardware.
