HTC U12, the upcoming flagship phone was already spotted last month through a 5G Alliance event in Taiwan. The handset was shown in real skin, albeit some covering. Today, leaked information on its entire specifications and features have appeared.
Fresh information again claims that the HTC U12 is codenamed as HTC Imagine. It is fitted with a 5.99-inch display that supports QHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be arriving in RAM options of up to 6 GB. It will be offering users with up to 128 GB of storage options. The handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and 3,420mAh or 3,980mAh battery. It will arrive pre-loaded with Full Treble support enabled Android 8.0 Oreo OS and Sense UI. It will be the first HTC phone to support face recognition.
It will be the first HTC U series flagship phone to come with dual cameras. The rear-mounted dual camera setup is expected to include a 12-megpaixel sensor and a 16-megapixel Sony IX3xx sensor. The frontside will be equipped with 8-megapixel camera.
As far as design is concerned, the HTC U12 is rumored to sport the same Liquid Surface design like the predecessor model. It will be also equipped with IP68 certification and Edge Sense 2.0 pressure-sensitive frame. It will be available in single and dual SIM versions. The HTC U12 is expected to be available in April with $880 pricing.
