If you are looking for a tablet with a screen of 10.8 inches, support for the stylus, dock with keyboard and a price of no more than $250 you will surely be interested in knowing the Chuwi Hi9 Plus. This new tablet, about to go on the market, is postulated as a great competitor for the powerful Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro with M-Pen.
The main problem with the Huawei tablet, a great device, is its price of around $639.99, more than twice the price of Chuwi’s tablet. It is for that reason that you might be interested to see what is the difference between both tablets to know if you can save a lot of money with the powerful Chuwi Hi9 Plus.
In the following image, you can see the specifications of both tablets and below we will discuss the most important differences between them.
As soon as you see your processor, we see an important difference. The Chuwi Hi9 Plus mounts a Helio X27 with 10 cores at 2.6 GHz compared to the Kirin 960 with cores at 2.1 GHz from the M5 Pro. We will not have a single performance problem on both tablets but this Helio X27 flies on Chuwi’s tablet .
In terms of screen, cameras, networks, WiFi and operating system we appreciate a huge similarity between both tablets. In addition, both have a similar battery, very similar dimensions (although the Chuwi is a tad bigger and a few grams heavier).
We sincerely believe that the Chuwi Hi9 Plus is a great alternative to the Huawei tablet. It’s not that the MediaPad M5 Pro is a bad tablet, not at all. The problem with the latter is that it costs more than double and we do not see that it will make a huge difference in any section .
It is possible that the MediaPad M5 Pro has a rear camera a tad better and perhaps more autonomy but we think that this is not enough argument to pay more than double for a tablet. If you want to follow closely the launch of the Chuwi it is best to take a look at its official website.
