Today, we unveiled the debut times of four specific new phones. Honor mobile phone will introduce the “Magic Flip” next year as a small folding device. Xiaomi will also debut the “MIX Flip” next year, and vivo has plans to introduce new phones next year. They intend to launch a Pro version of the X Fold (as per previous reports, it’s expected to be the X Fold 3 Pro) and introduce a “low-priced” small foldable Vivo S Flip.
Regarding specific configurations, @digitalchat.com disclosed that more models will come equipped with high-quality periscopes, IPX8 dustproof and waterproof features, and 50W wireless charging. However, these features are temporarily unavailable. In a response to a netizen’s question in the comments section, @digitchatstation hinted, “What if the ‘Little Folding’ falls within the 4,000 yuan price range?”
Some netizens inquired whether Huawei’s new Pocket series folding screen phones would receive updates, and they received a response stating that “materials for the production line have been shipped.”
Earlier, Xiaomi MIX Flip had surfaced in the IMEI database in September this year. Foreign media GSMChina also crafted a speculative appearance based on factory-leaked information: upon unfolding, the front will feature a centered single-hole screen, while the back will have a triple rear camera setup and a rectangular secondary screen that supports 3x zoom.
Regarding the Magic Flip, @digitalchat.com revealed in July that the device is set to launch next year, although the available information remains limited at this time.
A few days ago, the vivo X Fold 3 Pro also made an appearance in the IMEI database with the model number V2337A. As previously reported, the vivo X100 Pro+ will be released after the Spring Festival, and the Chinese version of the vivo X Fold 3 Pro is also expected to be released post-Spring Festival. For reference, the vivo X Fold 2 and vivo X Flip, two folding-screen mobile phones launched by vivo in April this year, started at 8,999 yuan and 5,999 yuan, respectively.
The positioning of the vivo S Flip will evidently be lower than that of the vivo X Flip, which also features a vertical folding screen. The price is anticipated to fall within the 4,000-5,000 yuan range.
Currently, Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, and vivo have all embraced the dual-line parallel strategy of “big folding + small folding,” whereas Xiaomi and Honor have solely introduced “big folding” mobile phones.
