Honor Head Ming, the head of Honor who worked on the new model of the series after the Honor 9X model released earlier this year, made the announcement that the new device will be named as X10, not 10X as expected. The Honor X10, which is expected to be released next month, was recently approved by China’s certification institution TENAA and some technical features were exposed.
And today the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station revealed more details about the model. In particular, it is reported that the main camera of the smartphone uses a 40-megapixel Sony IMX600y sensor with a resolution of 40MP optical format 1 / 1.7. Probably, the Honor X10 will be the most affordable smartphone in the world with such a large sensor.
The resolution of the remaining sensors from the main camera is 8MP and 2MP. And if the first one is connected to a telephoto lens, rather than an ultra-wide-angle one.
The insider also confirmed the phone is listed to feature an IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, which could be the Kirin 820 5G. Honor X10 will be the first representative of its line with support for fifth-generation networks. Other characteristics of the model include a 4200mAh battery, support for fast charging with a power of 22.5 Wh, a front 16-megapixel camera, a USB-C port, and a standard headphone jack.
Although Honor X10 is known to be introduced in May 2020, unfortunately, there is no clear date for the launch. Rumors about the price of the device show that the Honor X10 will take its place on the shelves from the $250-350 price range.
