At the IFA show, Huawei announced that the Mate 30 series will use the first Kirin 990 chip and will be officially released on September 19. In addition, Honor Vera 30 is also expected to use this mobile processor in the future.
Today, Honor’s official blog, posted the news that its Vera 30 smartphone will join the 5G era and is on its way to the market, scheduled for launch in the 4th quarter of this year. Honor also emphasized that the company’s Vera 30 series will show true 5G solutions, a step towards the future and usher in a new era of 5G.
According to Huawei introduced at IFA 2019, the Kirin 990 received eight cores, four of which are Cortex A76, operating at 2.86 and 2.36 GHz. The rest is the Cortex A55 with a frequency of 1.95 GHz. The manufacturer claims that the new Kirin is 10% faster and 35% more energy efficient than the Snapdragon 855. In addition, the chipset has integrated 5G support.
In addition, Samsung introduced its 5G processor at the Berlin exhibition. The manufacturer reports that their new single-chip Exynos 980 chip will not only take up less space on smartphones but will also be able to process large images up to 108MP in size.
The processor will be manufactured using the 8nm process technology and will receive two high-performance Cortex-A77 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz and four economical Cortex-A55s at 1.8 GHz.
The Honor Vera 30 series has no further details regarding its possible leaked specifications, but as the announcement period is approaching, such information is expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
