Honor’s Brand President George Zhao has confirmed that their next smartphone, the Honor V30, will be officially unveiled on November 26 in China. The Honor V Series is commonly known for experimental camera design and innovation. The Honor V20 was the company’s first phone with a punch-hole screen and one of the first to feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor.
This year, the Honor V30 will bring a combination of hardware enhancements and 5G support. The hardware enhancement is primarily about the inclusion of Huawei Kirin 990 processors, while the other big change will be 5G support. What is not yet clear is whether the Honor V30 or V30 Pro will come with 5G support, however, our assumption is that it could be a Pro model.
We do not know exactly what RAM capacity will ship, but it’s a safe bet that they will have at least 6GB with 128GB of storage space. It is not obvious that the latter is extensible.
In terms of design, the V30 series comes in two versions. The Honor V30 will be very similar to its predecessor with an LCD display on the front with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, while the Honor V30 Pro will have an OLED screen and a pill-shaped cutout that will house two selfie cameras. As recently revealed, this smartphone will feature a quadruple rear camera, speculating that the fingerprint sensor is on the side, built into the power button.
It is rumored that the Honor V30 Pro will have a 60MP primary sensor with the new “Camera Matrix” photography algorithm, a 20MP secondary wide-angle sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a 3D ToF depth sensor, while the Honor V30 will have a triple rear camera probably with 16MP ultra-wide sensor and with macro sensor and depth sensor.
With these two smartphones, Honor will once again bet on the fast charge. Indeed, the manufacturer could integrate a battery with a capacity of 4200mAh for the V30 Pro with a 40W SuperCharge system and a possibility of wireless charging 15W. The V30 power supply unit would have 4000mAh with SuperCharge 22.5W without induction.
Honor V30 will be officially launched in China on November 26. The name of the device is unknown in the market outside of China, but it may be called “Vera 30”.
