Honor Tablet 8 debuted in China in July this year, and it is now being rolled out to the global market. Now, the company has listed an Honor Pad X8 Lite on its website, which sounds like a cheaper version, but upon further checking, the device could be the renamed Honor Tab 7, powered by the MediaTek Helio P22T chip and outdated Android system versions.
The Honor Pad X8 Lite tablet features a 9.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Internally, it uses 32GB of storage, far less than the 128GB option that Honor offers its home users. There’s no mention of RAM, which hopefully will be 4GB.
The Honor Tablet X8 Lite has a 5MP camera on the back and no flash. There’s also a 2MP front-facing camera that supports video calling. The device uses the Magic UI 6.1 system based on Android 10. The Honor Pad X8 Lite has been certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light.
Other specs include two large speakers on the short sides, a 5100 mAh battery that charges via a micro USB port, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. There is no 3.5mm jack.
