Together with the flagship smartphones Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro, the Chinese company today introduced a younger model – Honor 20 Lite. Its company representatives described it as a smartphone designed for young people. That is why Honor 20 Lite was made very inexpensive.
Honor 20 Lite is equipped with a 6.21-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels with a drop-shaped notch in the upper part under the front-facing camera. Note that the older models of the front camera is located in a hole in the corner of the screen.
As the basis of the Honor, 20 Lite is a 12-nm single-chip mid-level platform Kirin 710, with eight cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz. The amount of RAM is 4GB, and 128GB of internal flash memory is provided for data storage. There is also a slot for microSD memory cards. The fingerprint scanner in contrast to the “big” Honor 20 of the new item is located on the rear panel.
As for the rear camera, it is triple here. The main module is built on a 24MP image sensor with ƒ / 1.8 optics and 1.8 μm pixels. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel sensor with wide-angle optics and a 2MP depth sensor. It turns out that the camera here is somewhat “weaker” than the Honor 20 cameras and even more so the Honor 20 Pro, but the manufacturer notes improved opportunities for shooting in poor lighting.
By the way, the front camera here is almost the same as that of the Honor 20 Pro based on a 32MP sensor with support for AI functions. The device uses micro USB on the connection side and unlike the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro, it features a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The model has a battery capacity of 3400mAh.
The Honor 20 Lite will go on sale today in three colors: Phantom Blue, Phantom Red, and Midnight Black. Its cost will be 299 euros (about $333), Apparently, the US sanctions on this particular smartphone of the Chinese company did not have time to reflect.
